Super Mario Galaxy 2

Content sum up: Like all Mario games, there's no objectional content to speak of, and its colorful, whimsical visuals are, like always, sure to appeal to kids of every age. But while the camera "practically" works itself, there is a co-op "Co- star" mode of sorts (where a second player can move an extra cursor and hold back enemies, collect coins, etc.) and if you're stuck on one level, you can pick from a few others; with a complete lack of explanitive dialog (most everything is presented in text; tutorials included), an obscure and less accessible version of NSMB's "Super Guide" (the "Cosmic Guide"; only available in certain portions of certain stages), and its markedly more difficult nature—with stages that will test, frustrate and repeatedly "kill" even the most diehard Super Mario veteran (the developers themselves admit it to being 20% tougher than the first)—kids under ten are better off sticking with the recent, more approchable, casual and straightforward New Super Mario Bros Wii for their solo/co-op play. So overall (solely for difficulty), I recommend this game for ages 10+.
