Sum up:
Resistance 2 starts right where the last game left off, and involves the main character, Nathan Hale, continuing his mission to thwart the invading alien Chimera, by joining up with a human group called the "Sentinels." This game is a first-person shooter, and mostly revolves around destroying the alien enemy with a variety of imaginitive weapons. New additions to this game include 12 new Chimera enemy types (including a boss battle with a 300 foot Chimera) and an online (or offline) co-op mode that runs parallel to the single-player story.

Recommended age:
The ESRB rated this game "M" for Mature, listing "Blood and Gore," "Intense Violence" and "Strong Language." The "Blood and Gore" refers to the heavy blood splatter when you, an ally, or enemy is shot. I've also seen a few cutscenes where allied soldiers were ripped apart by the enemy (in detail).

The "Strong Language" refers to the game's use of words like d*mn, hell, bastard, b*tch, a**, sh*t, and there are a few uses of the f-word. The "Intense Violence" refers to the game's scary and intense atmosphere/enemies, and the fact that you're blowing them apart with very destructive weapons. There is no way this is appropriate for younger audiences, and I'd recommend this game for ages 17+.
